SUMMARY
The Line invites you to become a patron of the sacred arts in Chicago.
Patrons enable our artists to saturate the city of Chicago with orthodox impressions of God’s beauty. In addition, Patrons are also given a window into the work of their chosen artist through exclusive access to live recording mp3′s, videos, journals, and more. Finally, Patrons are invited to attend a one-of-a-kind appreciation performance at the end of the year.
WHO ARE THE ARTISTS AND WHAT DO THEY DO?
The sacred artist is primarily occupied with the creation of sacred art. That is, he or she is primarily occupied with creating art that reflects the beauty, glory, transcendence and hope of God Himself. The artist’s secondary occupation is living as a person who blesses the wider arts community in Chicago. The artist’s tertiary occupation is to bless the church with the sacred art that he has created for the city. Thus, candidate artists must demonstrate the following:
1. Artistic Excellence: He creates art that is recognized as excellent both outside and inside the church setting. Just as God is most beautiful of all things that exist, so the artist should aim for his life’s work to be on the vanguard of all art that exists.
2. Theological Maturity: She demonstrates love for and knowledge of biblical narrative and doctrine, and thus is able to create art that displays the beauty of God,
3. Personal Integrity: Her audience and circle of friends is not limited to Christians, and she is confident and clear in her convictions, regardless of her setting.
